Donna Mister is originally from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She has been working in cancer research since 1975, when she was the Tumor Registrar at Atlanta Medical Center. She spent twenty-five years at working with the Atlanta SEER program at Emory, where she started out collecting cancer data from local hospitals, then became the head of the Quality Control Department, and finally transitioned into programming. For five years she developed and managed a large breast cancer database at a multi-site provider of radiotherapy in Georgia. She returned to Emory three years ago and is working as a Clinical Research Coordinator for Dr. Mylin Torres on several breast cancer studies in the Radiation Oncology Department.
