Past Interns

Postdoctoral Training

The vast majority of interns move into formal postdoctoral residencies following the internship year, and most seek and are accepted into positions in academic health centers or Veterans Affairs medical centers. For example, since 2015 76% of former interns accepted postdoctoral residencies in academic health centers and an additional 8% in VA medical centers. Emory University School of Medicine has an active postdoctoral residency program. More information on postdoctoral training opportunities at Emory can be obtained at:

Upon completing their training, former interns have moved into various job positions within the professional psychology community. These have included positions in departments of psychology, academic health sciences centers, outpatient health systems, community-based organizations, and private practice.
