Professional Activities of Past Interns

Postdoctoral Training

The vast majority of interns move into formal postdoctoral residencies following the internship year, and most seek and are accepted into positions in academic health centers. For example, since 2017, 83% of former interns accepted postdoctoral residencies in academic health centers. Emory University School of Medicine has an active postdoctoral residency program. Post-Training Employment

Upon completing their training, former interns have moved into various job positions within the professional psychology community. These have included positions in departments of psychology, academic health sciences centers, outpatient health systems, community-based organizations, and private practice.
