The stipend for the internship year is $26,500. Interns must pay a small monthly parking fee, and are eligible for health insurance. Benefits include two weeks paid vacation and one week professional leave. There is access to computers for word processing and statistical analysis.
All interns must complete orientation and pre-employment health assessments, background checks and drug testing through Emory, Grady, and the Children's Healthcare of Atlanta (CHOA) as conditions of employment. For the CHOA locations, the drug screen includes no use of nicotine, and the background check cannot reveal any prior felony convictions.
