Psychology Practicum Training Program

Emory Healthcare Clinic through the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences is offering a training program to pre-doctoral practicum level psychology students. Students will be trained in the practice of professional psychology and have the opportunity to learn the foundational elements of the behavioral sciences in a multidisciplinary setting with a wide range of patient populations.

The training program will take place in the Adult Outpatient Psychotherapy Program at Emory Clinic:

Our goal in the Adult Outpatient Psychotherapy (AOP) Program is to provide the most up to date evidence based models of care, and practicum students in the AOP Program will conduct structured diagnostic interviews and train in cognitive skill based psychotherapies including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Future Directed Therapy. Students will also have the opportunity to participate in psychotherapy research on cognitive based interventions.

Students will receive individual and group supervision as well as participate in a weekly didactic seminar and students are encouraged to take part in Grand Rounds lectures as well as other training opportunities offered in the Department of Psychiatry at Emory University throughout the year.

Students are expected to be available for 15-20 hours per week.
