Andrea Crowell, MD is an Assistant Professor at Emory University School of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. She completed Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy training at the Emory University Psychoanalytic Institute. She is an Associate Program Director for the Emory Psychiatry Residency Training Program. She additionally serves as the Director of the Outpatient Psychotherapy Training Program for the residents and is involved in curriculum design for EUPI. At The Emory Clinic she serves as Medical Director of the OCD and Anxiety Disorders Intensive Outpatient Program and as a consulting psychiatrist for the Treatment Resistant Depression Clinic. The OCD and Anxiety IOP specializes in providing consultation and brief, intensive treatment for OCD and severe anxiety disorders. The TRD clinic provides consultation and neuromodulation services for patients with severe or treatment-refractory depression. Her research has focused on treatment resistant depression, including deep brain stimulation for TRD. Clinically she specializes in providing comprehensive consultation and care including psychopharmacology, psychotherapy, and neuromodulation for individuals with mood and anxiety disorders.
