Awards

The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences acknowledges the outstanding contributions of individual faculty members each year through an awards program. Awards are available for excellence in mentoring, practice, service, and science.

Mentoring Award: Research – Recognizes a faculty member who has served as an outstanding mentor to departmental faculty or trainees in the research domain

Mentoring Award: Service and Education – Recognizes a faculty member who has served as an outstanding mentor to departmental faculty or trainees in the clinical/service domain

Distinguished Clinician Award - Recognizes a faculty member who has demonstrated excellence in clinical care.

Distinguished Service Award - Recognizes a faculty member who has demonstrated outstanding service and citizenship (one award is given in alternate years in ((a) local or regional service or (b) national or international service)

Distinguished Scientific Contributions Award - Recognizes a faculty member who has contributed significantly to the scholarly literature and the advancement of science within the field of psychiatry and behavioral sciences (one award is given in alternate years for (a) senior faculty member or (b) junior faculty member)

Distinguished Adjunct Faculty Member Award - Recognizes an adjunct faculty who has demonstrated excellence in supervision, teaching, mentoring, and/or collaboration with trainees in activities related to service, scholarship, and/or education and/or excellence with regard to their professional service and leadership as related to the department
