Katie Ragsdale, PhD is an assistant professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences and a clinical psychologist in the Emory Healthcare Veteran’s Program. She completed her PhD in Clinical Psychology at the University of Central Florida and her clinical internship and postdoctoral fellowship at the Salem Veteran Affairs Medical Center. Dr. Ragsdale’s clinical interests fall broadly in the evidence-based treatment of PTSD and comorbid disorders, with particular interests in exposure therapy and other behavioral treatments. Her research interests include treatment outcome and examination of how various comorbidities (e.g., substance dependence and/or traumatic brain injury history) may affect treatment effectiveness. The ultimate goal of both her clinical work and research endeavors is to improve and/or develop treatment protocols that comprehensively treat the complex presentations associated with military-related PTSD and comorbid disorders.
