The Laboratory of Molecular Social Cognition

Impairments in social cognition and behavior have devastating consequences in several psychiatric disorders. The Laboratory of Molecular Social Cognition uses mouse models to study synaptic and behavioral plasticity relevant to social deficits.  In particular, this lab uses lentiviral, transgenic and Cre/Lox methods to dissect brain circuitry underlying social function.  This animal work will provide the basis for human work to develop possible therapies for social disorders.
