Simeonova Lab

The Simeonova lab is focused on the investigation of resilience, risk, and social-emotional neurodevelopmental factors in high-risk offspring of parents with mental illness. The overall objective of our work is to understand the mechanisms contributing to adaptive and maladaptive developmental trajectories in high-risk offspring and to inform the development of novel evidence-based prevention and early intervention approaches. We are currently focused on longitudinal studies of mother-child dyads of mothers with bipolar disorders, depression, and anxiety disorders from pregnancy until early childhood.

We are very thankful to the following organizations for supporting our work:

The National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH)
