Brian Cooke, MD, is a general and forensic psychiatrist. He earned his medical degree from Saint Louis University School of Medicine in 2005. He completed his residency in psychiatry at the University of Maryland/ Sheppard Pratt and then completed a fellowship in forensic psychiatry at Yale University School of Medicine. Prior to joining Emory in 2020, he was on faculty at the University of Florida College of Medicine for 10 years.

Dr. Cooke consults on a wide array of both civil and criminal cases involving mental health questions that come before the courts. He has an active clinical practice treating adult patients at the Emory Clinic. Dr. Cooke is the associate training director of the forensic psychiatry fellowship at Emory University School of Medicine. He also serves as the medical director of the Emory/Fulton County Jail Competency Restoration Program.
