Allison LoPilato, PhD, is a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in the treatment of youth mood disorders and emotion dysregulation. She is certified in DBT-C and has extensive training in DBT, BA, and CBT interventions.  

Dr. LoPilato's clinical research program is funded by the NIH and focuses on identifying new intervention targets for youth mood disorders, with a particular focus on emotion regulation. She incorporates clinical, behavioral, physiological, and other forms of ambulatory assessment (e.g., wearable devices, ecological momentary assessment) in her research to identify new mechanisms that may be targeted in treatment for youth populations. She has co-developed a treatment manual for adolescent depression and provides clinical workshops at the national level. Dr. LoPilato is also involved in a variety of service and training activities with Emory School of Medicine, including serving as the Associate Director of the Child & Adolescent Mood Program and outpatient clinic.  

Dr. LoPilato was born and raised in Pasadena, CA. She received her BA in Psychology and her PhD in Clinical Psychology from Emory University. Dr. LoPilato completed her clinical internship and postdoctoral fellowship at Emory University's School of Medicine in the Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Division.
