Patrice Mann, MD, MPH

Dr. Patrice Mann, MD, MPH joins us after completing adult psychiatry residency at Cambridge Health Alliance, affiliated with Harvard Medical School. She graduated from Harvard College with a BA, concentrating in Psychology on the Cognitive and SocialNeuroscience track. She then went on to Emory University School of Medicine for a combined MD/MPH degree. During that time, she worked as a health communications intern at the Center for Disease Control (CDC), and completed a public health practicum with Emory University Office of Health Promotion. Building on these experiences, she began working on a wellness and resilience curriculum, which she later implemented as a dinner seminar series for women of color trainees at Cambridge Health Alliance. She has presented and published reports on the series in national forums. Her primary career interests include mood disorders, mindfulness, medical education and wellness and health promotion. She recently began blogging as a means to express her creativity and share insights on her experiences as a young black woman building a purposeful career in the field of psychiatry. Outside of medicine some of her hobbies are crafting, reading and exploring her neighborhood while practicing heramateur photography.
