Dr. Vinson is currently an outpatient psychiatrist at The Emory Clinic and Emory Transplant Center and a consultant psychiatrist at Emory Saint Joseph’s Hospital. He is also a psychotherapy supervisor for the residency program and is a Residency Education Site Director representing Emory Healthcare.

His interests include integrating various psychotherapy approaches and psychopharmacology, team-based learning and other educational endeavors, and the intersection of psychiatry and the humanities (e.g., philosophy, art, religion). 

He received his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia (Augusta University/University of Georgia Medical Partnership) and completed his residency training at Emory, where he served as a Chief Resident. He also completed the Core Program at the Emory University Psychoanalytic Institute and is currently enrolled in the Foundations Program at the Existential-Humanistic Institute.
